Grey Lake

Grey Lake East Outfitters Lodge is located near Grey River in Southwestern Newfoundland. The cabins are located in the interior of Newfoundland and are accessible by either floatplane or helicopter. It has been in operation for 30 years, making it one of the most well established big game hunting camps in Newfoundland. The hunting success rate in this area is near 100 percent.

The Terrain

The terrain in the area of Grey Lake East Camp is predominantly barren, open bogs with a small mix of thick timber along the river and streams, excellent for rifle, bow or black powder hunts.

Note: Big game hunting for bow hunters starts 2 weeks earlier than standard rifle hunting in the province of Newfoundland.

Grey Lake East Outfitters is operated by Gordon Wheeler and Austin Childs both of York Harbour, Newfoundland. With over forty years of combined guiding experience in this area, Gordon and Austin are experienced, professional operators and guides. Gordon has guided at this location for twenty years and has gained a superior knowledge of the terrain and the area.
